Review (My Boyfriend's Back):

When people try to combine horror and comedy together they usually fail miserably but in this movie they did a pretty good job. My boyfriend's Back is about a boy Johnny Dingle who's kinda a nerd and he's in love with the most popular girl in school (who isn't???) Missy McCloud. Later on in the week he goes to the convenient store where Missy works to ask her to the prom. It doesn't really turn out the way he planned cause once he gets there the store gets robbed and Johnny gets shot while protecting Missy from getting shot. While he's dying he asks Missy if she'll go to the prom with him and of course she said yes cause why would some one say no to a person who's dying???

Since Johnny gets shot and he dies you would think the movie is over right? WRONG!! After the funeral Johnny crawls out of the grave full on zombie style. While he's on his way home the grave digger tries to warn him if he leaves terrible things will happen but Johnny left anyway. You would think you would listen to the grave digger since he's always in the cemetery and he see these things happen all the time but nope he has to see for himself since he's so freakin obsessed with taking Missy to the prom. The movie continues with Johnny trying to make it as a zombie while trying to go to the prom. When I was looking up this movie I noticed that were some big name actors and actresses in this movie.
Matthew Fox from Lost, Phillip Seymoure Hoffman from Doubt, and Cloris Leachman from the upcoming movie The story of Bonnie and Clyde. My Boyfriend's Back is also produced by Sean S. Cunningham who directed Friday The 13Th and produced the Friday The 13Th remake. They put his name on the poster cause they figured his name would draw attention since Friday The 13Th is a classic. I give this movie 4 out of 5 Skulls
