Music Mondays(Avenged Sevenfold. Nightmare):

I've mentioned before that one of my all time favorite bands is Avenged Sevenfold. Back in 2006 me and my friends when to see Co heed And Cambria in concert and Avenged Sevenfold was the opening band and that's when I fell in love with them. I've heard their song Bat Country before the concert and I liked it but seeing them in concert is what sold me. Their the type of band that everyone should look up too. You can truly tell that they love what their doing and their not just doing it for the money, their doing it for their fans. If they didn't get paid for making music and it was just for the mere fact of making their fans happy they would totally do that. This band is in the top 3 bands that has changed my life and has helped me get through some tough times. They mentioned on Facebook that their new single Nightmare from their new up and coming album "Nightmare" will be released on Itunes May 18Th.Before then I headed over to YouTube to listen to the song, I have to say these guys are freakin genius they sure know how to make a song. The first part of the song was a soft melody that was creepy yet wonderful then it switched to the good stuff with the hard head banging sounds. They should of had this song out so it could be on the soundtrack to the A Nightmare On Elm Street remake cause this song would of been perfect for that movie.

The metal/rock band started in Huntington Beach California when a group of friends decided to fulfill their life long dream to start a rock band. With their extraordinary talent and extremely good looks along with their hardcore bad ass style Avenged Sevenfold was born. They came out with two Cd's titled "Sounding The Seventh Trumpet" in 2001 and "Waking The Fallen" in 2003, but it was the Cd "City Of Evil" in 2005 that got the boys some recognition they deserved with their single "Bat Country". (yes, that was the first song I heard from them)

The band members are:

M. Shawdows - Vocals
Synyster Gates- Lead Guitar
Zacky Vengeance- Rhythm Guitar
Johnny Christ - Bass
The Rev - Drums

Sad to announce that Avenged Sevenfold lost one of their band members. Jimmy "The Rev" Sullivan passed away December 28Th, 2009 from natural causes. My heart and prayers goes out to Avenged Sevenfold and The Sullivan family. He has surely made history as one of the best drummers ever made. They will be accompanied by Mike Portnoy of Dream Theatre on the drums for the Uproar tour. Check their website http://www.avengedsevenfold.com/ for tour dates.
