The Devil Inside Review

The Devil Inside left me feeling a little empty inside. Wasn't the best exorcism movie but it was a lot better then The Haunting Of Molly Hartley. I enjoyed most of the movie but I still think it should of had a lot more to it to make it more unique. It starts out with a description talking about Exorcisms then a 911 call appears on the screen. Maria Rossi tells the dispatcher that she killed 3 people at her house. She gets arrested and shipped off to a mental institution in Italy because she said she was possessed when she killed those people since they were performing an exorcism on her.

We're introduced to her daughter Isabella Rossi 20 years after the murder. Isabella tells the cameraman that she wants to visit her mother and try to help her and see if she really was possessed. She meets up with two other Priests in Italy after going to a class about exorcisms. They tell her the only way to help her deal with everything is to witness an actual exorcism. They go to a local woman's house to help her daughter. They head downstairs to find the girl's body all twisted and disjointed. They perform the exorcism and that's when things start to heat up.

Swear words flying out, blood spraying every where. The girl crawling up the wall and finally the Demon is out of her body. They go over the tape of the exorcism once they get home. They're listening to the audio and they hear multiple voices coming out of the girl when she spoke. The Priest explains to Isabella that she was possessed by several Demons at once. He also tells her they're known for transferring from one body to another. She visits her mom with the Priests and finds out that she really was possessed and still is. They perform an exorcism on Isabella's mother and after a long fight the Demon leaves her body and the movie continues with the Demon going through every one's body.

It ends with the Demon in Isabella and the Priest and Cameraman are driving back home from the hospital. Isabella wakes up and starts freaking out. She grabs at the Cameraman's face and he gets possessed and swerves the car to get in an accident. The screen goes black then writing appears on the screen saying that the Rossi case hasn't been solved and if you know anything, go to the website they provided. The movie is over and everyone in the theatre is pissed. I don't like how it ended because it left too many cliff hangers.

It shouldn't of ended the way it did and have that many cliff hangers if it's not going to have a sequel. The Last Exorcism is even going to have a sequel when there's no need for it. Hey, you never know, they could make a sequel. It's still early. I liked the flow of the movie of The Last Exorcism a lot better but I did like the exorcisms more in The Devil Inside. I liked the movie but I think they could of done a lot better. In my opinion, I think they're going overboard on all the exorcism movies. They're not a bad idea for a horror movie but having one or more coming out every year is becoming over kill. It's like the Paranormal Activity movies. The first one was dumb and boring, they didn't need to make a sequel or a third one for that matter. What did you guy's think of The Devil Inside, good? bad? Are you sick of Exorcism movies??
