Maybe it's me but isn't $40m in the opening weekend good? I guess not, they even mentioned Nightmare on Elm Street opening up on April 30th. I'm sorry but what does the NOES remake have to do with there being a sequel to Friday The 13Th, since they were planning on having the sequel come out August 13Th 2010 which is 3 months after the remake of NOES so that doesn't have to make them paranoid with it making more money then them.
If their not doing the sequel cause their worried about it going to suck then they shouldn't be too quick to judge cause nowadays the sequel end up being better then the 1st one. Rob Zombie directed the remake of Halloween and the sequel H2, even though the remake of Halloween was awesome the sequel was ten times better so in my opinion I think they should continue with the sequel to Friday The 13Th cause it's not going to hurt since everyone in the horror community will see it regardless of how bad the first one was. I liked it and I'll go see it if they remake it.
