Save The Drama For Your Mama, Dieter Laser!

According to FEARnet, there's some drama going behind the scenes of The Human Centipede 3. Dieter Laser, the star playing Dr. Heiter from the first Human Centipede was scheduled to return for the third film along with Laurence R. Harvey who played Martin in the second film. Not anymore. Dieter Laser has dropped out of the project and Producer Ilona Six (director Tom Six's sister) promised Fangoria that they would pursue legal action. Apparently, Laser didn't like the way his character was going and how it was being portrayed. He tried to get Tom Six to change the script but since Tom is the creator and master of the Human Centipede films he said no and Laser said bye bye to the films.

Sadly for Laser it's not that easy, especially when you already signed a contract. :D Here is the email Laser sent to Screen Read "It's very simple: I loved the story when it was told, got the contract and the promise to have the script in 4 to 6 weeks. When it arrived – half a year later and only after the official announcement – I didn't like the realization at all, couldn't identify with the character the way it was written and developed immediately and enthusiastically in a day and night marathon a version full of concrete and practical suggestions which would enable me to play the lead full throttle – same procedure as with Dr. Heiter – but this time it also would have had some unavoidable effects to the dramatic structure. That was too much for Tom and since he couldn't live with my suggestions and I as a method actor couldn't identify with his version, I told him that I couldn't see any other way than that he would have to ‘change horses'. That's it." - Dieter Laser.

Wow, actors. If you don't want to play a part, you might want to make that decision before you sign the contract and not seven weeks prior to shooting. Whether that is true or not, It's still stupid that he's acting like a big baby with this whole thing. Instead of being mad at the fact that the script isn't the way that you would like it to be. You should be grateful you were able to star in a movie that got A LOT of hype and attention both in the horror community and "normal" community.

Ilona Six told Fangoria, "Because of the success of The Human Centipede, it seems that Mr. Dieter Laser's ego has grown to laughably big proportions. First signing the contract and rating The Human Centipede 3 script as fantastic, and then demanding his own unacceptable script changes, and now refusing to play the part only seven weeks prior to shooting. Six Entertainment Company will start legal action against Dieter Laser. Tom Six says not to worry—principal photography will be postponed and will take place later this year.

This is really sad. Everybody including myself really enjoyed Dieter Laser's portrayal of Dr. Hieter. You start to see this in actors a lot more nowadays, at least in the younger generation. Their egos get HUGE and they demand to have everything their way and more money. When they don't since they're not the boss, they instantly become 4 years old again and throw a temper tantrum and drop out of the movie deal. Oh you big baby! Get over it and be happy you're in a movie that made you a lot more well known. Before the first Human Centipede, I have never heard of Dieter Laser. I'm sure a lot of people my age or possibly a little older didn't either. That's my opinion on this whole subject and I'm on Tom Six's side 100% and think Laser is being a little bit childish about the whole script. If you don't like the way the script is being made, become a screenwriter. Thoughts???
