The Legacy: His Name Was Jason. A Tribute to Mama Voorhees

Jason, my special, special boy. Do you know what your gift is? No matter what they do to you, you cannot die. You can never die. You've just been sleeping, honey. But now, the time has come to wake up. Mommy has something she wants you to do. I need you to go to Elm Street. The children have been very bad on Elm Street. Rise up, Jason. Your work isn't finished. Hear my voice and live again. Make them remember me, Jason. Make them REMEMBER WHAT FEAR TASTES LIKE. - Mrs. Voorhees



If there is one thing you can't hold against Pamela Voorhees, it will be the love she has for her son Jason. You don't see a better Mother & Son relationship like this one. We're all familiar with Jason's life. We know that he didn't have any friends and he was teased by the other kids because of his facial deformity. The kids threw rocks at him and shoved a burlap sack over his head then pushed him into the lake where he drowned. Because of this, Pamela took it upon herself to get revenge. Nobody wrongs Mama V without paying for it.



One by one the kids at the camp ended up dead. You would think going to a Summer Camp would be fun right? Not this one. If the camp counselors would of been paying attention then none of this would of happened. Correction. If the kids would of just ignored the fact that Jason was deformed none of this would of happened. The kids ended up killing Mrs. Voorhees and the legend says that Jason watched his mother get killed. I just adore the relationship between Jason and Pamela. I compare it to the relationship I have with my mom. I love my mom like it's no one's business. If anyone did anything mean to her I would go total Mrs. Voorhees on that person's ass. You don't mess with my mama without dealing with me.



That's the only thing Mama V was doing. She was sticking up for her family and letting the kids know that you mess with her Son then the Mama Bear is going to come out. Throughout the years kids would come to Camp Crystal Lake for the Summer and not everyone will leave alive. When they killed Mama V, they unleashed a Demon they never thought could happen. Since Jason was a huge Mama's boy, every year he would punish the kids who came to the camp. Out of love and respect for his mother. He would get flashbacks from his mom and hear her voice in his head telling him to kill the kids because they are the reason she is dead. When you're watching Friday the 13th and you think how awful Pamela Voorhees is. Just remember, she was sticking up for her son and letting everyone know that she loves him and the people who wronged him shouldn't get away with it.
